CEC’s organizational structure is referred to as a flat hierarchy, meaning no middle or operations managers. This structure, in combination with innovative information systems technology is what allows us to cut labor costs and pass those savings on to our clients.
CEC is divided by construction and engineering disciplines into Structural, Foundations, and Construction Management. These divisions are divided into teams which enables us to easily arrive at innovative, practical and economical solutions.
The firm has developed a quality control program with the various team members and are encouraged towards high achievement and open communication. Any ideas that will benefit overall quality, innovation, cost and speed are put into action and the team member is rewarded.
The design-build strategy of the firm enables us to service clients and take projects from the planning and design stage to the construction and production stage. At the initial stages of planning and design, our network of contractors are encouraged to provide practical ideas that are integrated in the final design thus adding value to our clients.
During the construction phase, any design revisions or changes encountered in the field will be communicated to our teams and a solution provided immediately. This obviously impacts the progress of construction and ensures that our projects are completed at the promised time.
The organization implements the latest computer technologies in finding the most efficient and economical solutions to civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical disciplines as well as surveying. Such software includes C.A.D.D, Micro station , Primavera scheduler and other design software.
In addition, Engineering drawings, reports and specifications can be transmitted through the Internet, as well as invoices, contracts and proposals.
Joseph B. Chaiban, P.E., C.G.C. ( President and CEO as well as the founder of Chaiban Engineering Consultant, Inc) is also known in the professional community for providing public speaking to schools in the area of engineering and how it affects our society’s future needs. Mr. Chaiban invented the Compu-Ledger computer program which is capable of tracking quantities of materials used in the construction of roadways, buildings and highways for multiple FDOT projects in November, 1988 through October 1996. Joseph B. Chaiban and his team of professionals’ prestigious reputation is a result of many successful commercial and residential projects which included office buildings, restaurants, single family homes, swimming pools, warehouses, condominiums, swimming pools, retaining walls and roofs, as well as Florida Department of Transportation projects, utility and roadway projects including I-95, I-595, SR 84, Collins Avenue and Southwest 8th Street, to name a few.
Chaiban Engineering Consultants, Inc. was presented by the City of Oakland Park with the "Best-Looking Building In Oakland Park Award" for the Chat-N-Chew Diner.

Our mechanical and electrical engineering consultants can handle a variety of engineering projects such as fiber optic cables; water and sewer mains; and electrical installations.
The firm’s in-house attorney monitors contracts and permits to ensure compliance with city, state and federal law, regulations and ordinances.
